Exiles and Overlords
Exiles and Overlords
Exiles and overlords is a deckbuilding card game meets tic-tac-toe! Easy to learn but hard to master, this game intends to be approachable but challenging. Each run will be unique with card packs opened after each battle. You can only play one card per turn, so you better choose carefully! Upgrade your deck with packs, and defeat enemies with a unique spin on tic-tac-toe positioning based combat. Get 3 in a row to win!
This game is currently a completely playable demo of 10 battles including a boss.
How To Play:
It's Tic-Tac-Toe so get 3 cards in a row to win!
Each turn you can swap a card out with a card from your deck and you can play a card to the board.
Each turn your cards will lose health, so they won't stick around forever.
Start with 4 lives, lose 2 for a loss, and 1 for a tie.

Pretty difficult
Very fun! I enjoyed the game loop. I think there is a lot potential with effects, such as like maybe increasing the number of cards in hand, etc. I would say some stuff that isn't obvious is the moving of the dead cards / characters to the discard pile confused me at first, and on the final boss level I died because I didn't have a ton of characters left. Maybe that could be one aspect that is more clear on how that works?
Thanks for the feedback!
